Directs officers to dispose off pending issues on fast track

Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today said that the process of recruitment on advertised posts of Education Department will be carried out on fast track basis. The Minister was speaking during a meeting convened with the officers of School Education Department and Higher Education Department to discuss various issues and developmental aspects of the Education Sector. The meeting was attended by Secretary School Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Chairperson JK BOSE, Veena Pandita, Director SSA, Abdul Rasheed War, Director RMSA, Tufail Mattoo, Director Colleges Jammu, Director School Education, Jammu, Additional Secretary Higher Education and other concerned officials. Altaf Bukhari directed the concerned officers to take up the issue with JK SSRB so that the process of recruitment on advertised posts is expedited and instructed the officials to prepare the list of vacant posts in the Education Department so that necessary steps are taken in this regard . He also directed the Project Director SSA and RMSA to fill the vacant posts on the fast track basis. While reviewing the up gradation of various schools, the Minister said that the ongoing works should be completed in a time bound manner and directed officials for the proper disposal of pending issues in the Education Department. Stressing on the conduct of the ongoing examinations of Matric and 10+2 in a hassle free manner, Altaf Bukhari directed the BOSE officials to ensure fair exams and take strict action against any person found indulging unfair means. The Minister said that Education plays a great role in development of a child as well as society and the government is dedicated for overall improvement in Education sector.
